The company MERCI, s.r.o. proudly joined as the main partner of the 60th annual national finals of the Chemistry Olympiad for secondary schools, which was held recently at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Brno University of Technology (FCH BUT).
The event not only gave space to young scientific talents to shine, but also highlighted the importance of supporting young people in the field of natural sciences, which we at MERCI have been working on for a long time - from primary and secondary school, to universities. As the main sponsor of this prestigious event, we had the honor to support and encourage high school students who fought their way through the individual rounds of the Chemistry Olympiad to the national finals. During almost the whole week, the students participated not only in the theoretical and practical parts of this final, but also in the accompanying social program, including visits to industrial companies. It was inspiring to watch young people engage in science and discover their potential.
This year, we not only provided financial support, but also actively participated in the organization of the event - at the ceremonial opening at the Brno Observatory and at the awards ceremony at the BUT rectorate. We are proud to be a part of such an inspiring event and help young scientists on their journey to knowledge.
In addition to sponsorship, another form of our support is also the design and production of specialized natural- and technical science classrooms for primary and secondary schools. In this way, we want to contribute to the youth's interest in natural sciences from an early age.
