University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice - Laboratory modernisation with the MERCI® furniture
Supply of laboratory furniture, media distributing systems, and MERCI® fumehoods
Our expertise in the field of laboratory furniture, represented by the quality and useful properties of MERCI® furniture, played a key role in the close cooperation with the winner of the realisation of the building of the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. Business negotiations and supplied samples, which not only met, but exceeded the strict criteria of the competition standards, led to the signing of the contract and the subsequent start of implementation.
This took place during January - September 2023, to enable practical use during the winter semester of the 2023/24 academic year. Due to the wide range of equipped laboratories, this delivery contained a very wide range of materials and production technologies to meet the requirements for resistance, maintenance, hygiene requirements and, above all, safety. Emphasis was placed on the correct storage of chemicals used - both for daily use and for storage, using ventilated safety cabinets for flammables, acids and alkalis.
These fume hoods in the number of 35 units are ready to work in a basic environment, but due to the timeless concept of MERCI® fume hoods, it is possible to upgrade them for work in an environment with an increased risk of explosion in the event of a technology change. MERCI® metal fume hoods are certified according to the European standard DIN EN 14175. Laboratory tables of various uses - weighing, for microscopes or with different heights of the worktop - are combined with MERCI® metal cassette media walls enabling variable setting of the workplace with user taps. Student workplaces are equipped with a worktop made of cast ceramics, highly resistant in terms of physics and chemistry, solder-free, ensuring safe work.
